The company says that Windows Insiders did not like the app being removed. If you are unfamiliar with the Update Advisor, it allows users to easily upgrade from Windows Phone 8.1 to Windows 10 Mobile. Microsoft watcher Joel Rushworth revealed the app was back on Twitter. As usual, Microsoft did not announce why it was pulling the app in the first place. Windows Insider chief Dona Sarkar has previously said that the company is only going to support new insider builds. With that in mind, perhaps the company did not think there was a need for the Update Advisor. It is also worth noting that Windows 10 Mobile has been available for eligible Windows Phone devices for over a year. Most users who want to upgrade to the new build should have already done so. Of the holdouts, I guess they do not want the upgrade. Interestingly, Windows 10 Mobile users are now moving to the Creators Update. Earlier this month, we reported that the list of devices eligible for the Creators Update is limited, or at least not finalized.
