We will let you decide if that is bloatware or not, but it probably depends on whether you use Sling TV. The company also announced today that its Xbox One app has been given a UI refresh and new look. By coming pre-installed with Windows 10, Sling TV joins some other services that are locked in. For example, Candy Crush, 3D Builder, and Solitaire are also baked into the platform. “Now, when you purchase any Windows 10 device, Sling TV is pre-loaded, so you are just seconds away from watching live TV on your terms.” explained the company. “The entire Sling TV programming lineup is available on your Windows 10 device, including Sling Orange, Sling Blue, the Best of Spanish TV, and the top international TV service in the US.”
The over-the-top internet television service may be pre-installed on Windows 10, but users are still able to remove it later if they want. As for the Xbox One Sling TV app, the company says it has changed the UI to make it smoother. There also more personalization features available in the app. You can check out this new design in the image above.
Sling TV on Windows 10
The streaming TV service arrived on Microsoft’s platform last September. It is not as widely used as rivals such as Netflix and Hulu, but it does have plenty of shows for users to get into. The Windows 10 app is free, but users will need to pay $20 a month to get the service. From launch it has been a decent up with good features. Users can take advantage of touchscreen compatibility, Cortana integration and live TV. Among the channels that users can access live are ESPN, Disney, FOX, CNN, TNT, and Comedy Central. This ability differentiates Sling from its rivals.
